I will be moving in a few months to study there and I was curious whether anyone had any tips on that : Dutch people or foreigners that've been there before.

Explore the city, don't spend all your time in coffe shops and the red light district. Take a bike tour. Be friendly, everyone speaks english but leanring a few words of dutch would be a good thing.

Where are you going to study?
-Tips on housing: do not ever pay more than 400euros per month for a small room in the city centre.
- Do visit Amsterdam, BUT do explore the rest of country as well: there's so much more than *********** and drug addicts! (e.g. Maastricht is a very nice city (some 200kms from A'dam), if you are in the Netherlands in February, you should definately travel south for "Carneval". In the summer, it is nice to visit "De Waddeneilanden". Which is a group of islands in the north of the Netherlands (5 of them: Texel, Terschelling, Vlieland, Ameland & Schiermonnikoog: I personally like Terschelling & Vlieland).
- DO buy a bike, it's money well spent (do not pay over 100 euro's though, unless it is a really good bike).

That's it for me, if you have any specific questions, lemme know!
