My husband and I are moving to Portland, OR in May of this year. We are both professionals but have not found jobs as of yet and may not before actually moving. Has anyone done this? If so do you have any pointers on how to find a place to rent before finding a job? Any other useful information would be greatly appreciated.

I'm moving out for the first time. I'm moving into an apartment with my boy friend. What are all the bills I need the pay? What are their estimated costs? What are some other things I need to know.

I have a Chevy S10 and I want to get more horse power. I was wondering if anyone has any thoughts on moving the alternator so that the drive shaft (which runs anyhow) turns the alternator to charge the battery.
It is my husband's idea. He likes to think of different things he can do! The truck already has an amazing amount of power, I keep telling him to leave it alone! The person that answered about swaping it for a V8 – bigger is not always better, just more weight!!! Thank you everyone so far for answering!!!

i'm going to move to a different town in a few weeks and was just wondering if anyone had any tips to make it easier?
we're going to label boxes clearly, as we'll have a lot of helpers (i can't lift much right now, pregnant!) and put labels on the bedroom doors, too.
we have one full weekend, and one half weekend between now & the move. (we also have 3 cats to move!)
any other tips??
also, we have a bit over a week where both places are ours. the old place needs a lot of cleaning. & the new place needs some repairs.
aww… i have a plan for my kitties, they're going to be moved first, directly into a prepared garage which will be closed off until i can go in & spend some time with them. (which i will do sporadically throught the move)

HI,im a newbie guitarist who seems to not be able to move my hands from string to string smoothly without having to pause then find the right string.I mean I see guys make it look so simple but yet when I attempt it,my finger gets so comfortable being on a certain string,it gets hard playing a new one.Also any tips on avoiding hitting the wrong strings when strumming.For example i'll be strumming EAD and accidentally hit G.Any suggestion's?I really want to rock.

Well I have a cat she's about 5 and shes lived with me in the same house for those five years. She is indoor and outdoor and we've never had any problems wth that.

So I met a woman a few months ago, we dated for awhile and after we broke up we remained friends. But I ruined that because my heart always wanted to be more then just friends. So now we have stopped talking completely but she is still on my mind constantly. I know it is time to move on now but I guess I really don't know how. Tips please

We are moving from Ft. Gordon, GA to Ft. Drum, NY. We have decided that we are going to let the Army move us instead of a DITY move. We tried a DITY move from Ft Bragg to Ft Gordon and it was nerve wracking with my husband driving. Does anyone have any tips or what to expect? I've heard of weight limits and all but does that also apply when they move us too? Any advice will help. Thanks!
